Hi trawets,

Have you tried the following reset procedure?

-Hold in the reset button until all lights go solid

-Pull the power lead and the Ethernet cable out with the reset button still pushed in

-Continue to hold down the reset button and reconnect the power lead

-Wait for all lights to come on and then release the reset button

- Reconnect the Ethernet cable.

In regards to the issue you are seeing on the Sure Signal, I can see there is a location profile change showing on the registration.

I’ve updated this for you now and re-synced the unit, please try another reset as shown mentioned above and let me know how you get on.

James

Thanks very much for your reply, I can not do the reset as previously stated all that is happening is light 1 & 2 are solid with a very brief flash in unision every 30 seconds or so, I hold down the button and nothing happens, I take out the power lead I have left out for an hour and still exactly the same when I re-connect.

I have also changed the ethernet cable

Hi trawets,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Everything now looks fine with the registration and it did connect to the server yesterday.

If you are still only seeing solid power light and first light lit, it would suggest a problem with the ports being closed in the router.

Have you recently reset your router?

I’d try to deregister the Sure Signal and register it again to see if this updates the connection and the profile that it’s using.

When you do this, I’d also check your router to see if it has the option for UPnP and it’s active.

James

Hi James

thanks again for your reply

If you are still only seeing solid power light and first light lit, it would suggest a problem with the ports being closed in the router. I have opened all the ports in the router as described on Port forward

Have you recently reset your router? Rebooted not reset

the light status doesn’t make any difference whether the Ethernet cable is attached or not still 2 solid lights which blink every 30 seconds or so, I have checked my router and yes the device attaches but I used to have it named so I knew what was connected all other names are there just the mac address for the sure signal, it will still not reset and sequence through the lights. I am right in thinking I've got a duff unit here?

Hi trawets,

If you've followed all of James' advice, my recommendation would be to arrange a repair. You can find out how to do so here

Cheers, Ben
