SureSignal V3 only works with one registered phone

Continuing my question from this thread which got hijacked, my SS v3 has 2 phones registered on it. One connects fine and the other will not connect at all. Both phones are Samsung Galaxy S6 and have the same settings.

 

Curiously the one I did not buy from Vodafone is the one that connects and the one purchased from the Vodafone shop is the one that will not connect.

 

Speed test: 27.6 Mbps down / 9.44 Mbps up

@de018 - That's frustrating, do the other phones have 3G turned on? If so, I'd recommend speaking with the Technical team here: http://vdfn.co/1SZoaTB so they can check everything for you.

You have three phones registered to that SS unit, the admin ending 01 and  two others ending 30 & 17

Can you confirm the last 2 digits on the number not working?

That's correct. The phone ending 01 works fine. 30 is the other S6 that won't connect. 17 is an S5 and that too does not connect.

Hi

Both those mobiles are registered on the SS okay with the correct IMSIs.

 

The thing that does stand out, is they are both LTE (4G) enabled as they are both showing active 4G data sessions today, can you confirm that 4G is off and try again to register on the SS.

I've changed the settings on 30 to 3G only (not LTE/4G). I'll leave that overnight and see if it picks up the SS.

It should just need either a power cycle or switch into airplane mode ad back on again

I've power cycled the phone. When it restated it momentarily showed full signal indicating it had connected to the SS.

However a few seconds after, the signal dropped back to 1 bar and it's not got any better suggesting the phone isn't connected to the SS.

The phone is still on the 3G only setting.

I've done a resync of your Sure Signal.

 

Please leave it for 24 hours then reset the device. Let us know how you get on.
