Hi there,

I can't get this to work, it is connected directly to a Sonicwall TZ210 and I have set the device on a DMZ with access to everything, but all I get is the red flashing light and two amber lights.

The suresignal serial number is:

40134613138

Can you please help?

Can you see any traffic on your systems from by SureSignal?

Hi CatManDo,

Other than a registration on 03 March, there has been no traffic through the Sure Signal details provided.

Has there been any change since you tried Kay's advice at all?

Cheers, Ben

Hi there,

Sorry for the delay, still not been able to get this up and running

Hi CatManDo,

Your Sure Signal hasn’t yet connected to our servers.

Have you managed to successfully complete a traceroute?

If not, then the signal isn’t reaching our servers, which would explain why the Sure Signal isn’t working.

Check that the following IP addresses are allowed on the SonicWALL:-

Destination IP Addresses:
212.183.133.177
212.183.133.178
212.183.133.179
212.183.133.181
212.183.133.182
212.183.131.128/26

If they are, I’d suggest contacting SonicWALL for more information.

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers,

Andy

Dear all,

So sorry for the delay in my reply.

Ok after speaking with Sonicwall technical support extensively, they have informed me that I can't use the SureSignal through the Firewall as it will conflict with the IPSEC tunnels used for our existing VPN's.

Therefore I think the best option for me is to install an 'open' line for the SureSignal.

Thanks all for your previous suggestions.

Hi all,

OK this is now plugged in to an open ADSL line, can you please confirm if the SureSignal is communicating with your Servers?

Thank you

Hi CatManDo

The last time your Sure Signal connected to our servers was on the 15 March. Can you try a factory reset?

VSS Factory Reset

* Hold the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30 seconds)
* Keeping the rest button held, remove and re-insert the power lead
* Once all the lights come on or flash, release the reset button
* The VSS should come online within the hour.

Thanks

Sukhi

Thank you, I have done this.

Would you please see if there is any connection made later today or in the morning?

Thanks,

Hi CatManDo,

Your Sure Signal last made contact with the network 15 April.

Please confirm what light sequence you’re now seeing?

Thanks,

Gemma

Hi,

The lights now appear to be lit correctly, I think this is now working?
