Hi there,

Quick question, does the Vodafone SureSignal provide internet services to handsets via 3G?

On my iPhone I have a 3G icon and full bars etc, but internet browsing/access of any kind does not work. I can make calls and recieve txt's no problem.

many thanks

Hi rossmcinnes,

The sure Signal is designed for calls and texts and will normally deal with internet traffic.

However, due to the routing of this traffic it will normally be very slow.

If you’re connecting to your Sure Signal, you’d be better off connecting via Wi-Fi to your home router.

Hi James,

Understood, but there should some Internet connectivity right? At the moment I cannot even bring up a webpage like bbc.co.uk.

Many thanks

R

Hi rossmcinnes,

A very slow connection can cause the browser or service you try to use to time out.

When that happens, the phone reacts just the same as if there was no data, so it's hard to tell the difference.
