My sure signal hasn't worked consistently for months. I gave re-set it numerous times and now finally have the system light on but I still have no consistent network coverage/connection

Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks

Hi dalerobert,

Everything looks fine with the registration, although it’s not connected to our server since 12 December.

Can you confirm if you’re still seeing the same light sequence or has this now changed?

From what you’ve said, it sounds like a setup issue which could have been caused by changes made by Sky.

If you don’t feel comfortable changing the router settings, this is something that Sky should be doing for you, however I wouldn’t mention the Sure Signal.

We’ve seen instances where some providers have refused to help as soon as the Sure Signal is mentioned.

I’d give them another call and see if another advisor will be willing to help.

@ Elizabethlngram – You may need to use a pen to press and hold the reset button in.

James

Thank you James but going back to Sky on lengthy phone calls which may or may not work left me a bit cold.

I tried re-booting my Sky Hub router and then re-setting the VSS3 and this worked. So for now I am back up and running with a VSS3 that works in boosting my signal in one room in the house. Very frustrating incidentally that this is the extent of the booster effectiveness. One last comment for now - this problem with using the VSS seems very very widespread reading the Tech support columns. Surely at £100 retail Vodaphone can invest in a better device with perhaps a Wifi link rather than fixed wire to your home router. These seem far more stable when making connection and you may then be able to site the VSS more conveniently rather than be bound by wire to where the router is situated.

Hi dalerobert,

The Sure Signal setup can sometimes be difficult due to the amount of different routers and IP ranges that different providers use.

We've fed back about having a Wi-Fi version, however due to possible interference and bandwidth restrictions this could have its own issues.

Thanks,

Jenny
