Solution

SureSignal (v2) disconnected for 2 weeks

Hi Vodafone,

My SureSignal V2 (serial 40113840470) has ceased connecting to your system for the past 2 weeks (with a day or two of connection last week.) Now it just sits there with just a power light. It was fine for a couple of weeks, before which I did not have a connection for more than a month. I am sufficiently frustrated with your service that I'm having difficulty composing a polite email, and I would have left Vodafone years ago if it wasn't for the eurotraveller programme.

What exactly is so unreliable about your service that I can go weeks at a time without the suresignal working? It's bad enough that normal vodafone signal is terrible in such a central location (London Battersea) but the one solution you offer seems to break with some reliable regularity.

I know you can push out firmware updates etc, but I'm not convinced these will help, because the device does work perfectly fine when all the stars are aligned and the correct number of goats have been sacrificed. I have also done each and every troubleshooting step listed in this forum, from restarting to resetting to port clamping, what have you. What should I do now?

What's a real shame is that Vodafone seems to be the only company who offers this sort of service. It's real value-added, if only it would work.

Omer
