Hi, i'm trying to get some help with a suresignal that isn't working. It has 

Power: Flashing

Internet: Off

In Service: Off

In Use: Solid Orange

One of the posts says paste the followng, so I hope that helps

Thanks for following the guide and supplying the needed details. Everything checks out healthy with your IP, treceroute and speed test. :Laughing_Face:

I can see that your unit hasn't connected with our servers for updates since 30/10/13 so I'm going to push a manual synchronisation out for you now. To complete it can you 

 

  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

Thanks for the note. Did that, but so far still not working.

 

The lights are different. Now they are:

Power: Flashing

Internet: Off

In Service: Solid Orange

In Use: Solid Orange

 

So what next?

Hi David,

 

The lights you were seeing show the VSS is not active and it has been unable to authenticate on the Vodafone network.

 

I’ve checked your serial number today and can see it connected to our servers at 19:24 yesterday evening, is it now working normally for you?

 

If not, try the unit in a different location, that of a family member or neighbour and let me know how you go on.

No, its not operating. The light sequence is the same as my last two posts. I've just been told to try restarting again and wait for 5 hours!

Trying it on another phone etc is not going to be quick or easy. If its connected to your servers why isn't it working?

Hi David,

 

It may not be working due to either a unit fault or a problem with your ISP and router setup. Testing the Sure Signal for an hour on an alternative connection will help us to rule out a faulty unit that needs a repair. :Winking_smiley:

I can see that you registered the Sure Signal again yesterday and it connected to the server this morning.

 

Are you still having trouble today?
