Suresignal , One Red Light ONLY

Hi

I have had a sure signal box for about two months now and for the first month it worked ok as my old internet provider was BT and was PPPOA.  I had to move to a differant ISP as BT were not able to Provide any good speed at all, so i changed to NORTH WEST ELECTRONICS WIRLESS NETWORK, which provide a great service and by the way they are PPPOE.

i have phone up vodaphone support alot of times trying to get an answer and get my SURESIGNAL box working but i seem be going around in circles everytime i talk to them.

So Here is what has been done so far

1. RESET SURESIGNAL THAT MANY TIMES I CANNOT REMEMBER

2. VODAPHONE RESET EVERY THING FROM THERE END A COUPLE OF TIMES

3. PORT FORWARDED  PORTS 50 ,500,4500,123,8

So far nothing has helped.  I have read from a few of the messages that vodaphone may need my IP ADDRESS and to do a (tracert 212.183.133.177), so here they are.

 IP ADDRESS IS 78.155.240.220

TRACE IS

Re: Suresignal , One Red Light ONLY

step 12 is your issue

" 12   172 ms   215 ms   210 ms  ae-7-7.car2.Dublin1.Level3.net [4.69.148.58]"

anything over 200ms causes problems and this is likely to be not keeping the VPN open. you'll need to get in touch with NWE to see if there's anything they can do

Re: Suresignal , One Red Light ONLY

Contacted my ISP and this is what they said;

Our senior engineer has been testing this piece of kit with Vodafone. He has advised me that Vodafone are currently blocking the connection from our network. We are working with them to resolve the issue. I will forward this valuable information to him and ask him to look into your individual query

Come On Vodaphone Help them fix the issue and stop blocking the connection to there network.

NORTH WEST ELECTRONICS WIRELESS NETWORK is very popular in rural areas of Northern Ireland and the hope to cover 92% of Northern Ireland by March 2012.(information from there website)

NWE's current WiMAX network
deployment provides a geographical reach covering 65% of NI which will increase to 92% by
March 2012.

Re: Suresignal , One Red Light ONLY

Hi m1ccu,

I have taken a look at your IP address and can see that this is currently being blocked.

The reason for this is that the Vodafone Sure Signal is only available for use in theUKand as such all ISP IP addresses must be registered to theUK.

Looking at your IP address here, I can see that this is registered toIreland and as a result we are unable to add this to the White list and unblock the IP range until this is showing asUK registered.

This will need to be updated by your ISP.
