Sure Signal V3 not working even after resetting

Power - flashing, Internet - solid orange, In Service - off, In Use - solid orange reset done and router checked please help.

since i figured this out its been fine but do be careful not to turn it off for an initial 48 hours after getting back on line again or you may have to redo it, no idea why that would be . However since then I have unplugged mine to see if it would fail again and it been fine . I would imagine VF have been trying different firmware revisions and if you unplg in the middle of an update it must do a factory reset ot something and you get back to the SS not working be nice if VF would have the courtesy to comment!

also I have noticed that if i do power off and on again it seems to cylce up more quickly thatn before dont know if anyone else has noticed it

I have tried my SS plugged in at a friends for a day and it hasn't worked so it doesn't look like a universal solution.

Are you quite sure that friend isn't also on VM?

 

My problem is that VM is ubiquitous here in Epsom, the only game in town (the choice is between 200Mb on VM and <8Mb on anything else.)

I stayed a while to see the two white light come on. Did you? You will get a white light flashing on a VM network until the two orange come on. Just a thought.

i tmay not have updated , i would try it again and press the rest button to reset it hold for 5 secs, then leave 24 hours, that should sort it out, hope you get it going

If any of you use a mobile "stick" or a MiFI to get on the net when out and about , it is possible to use your Laptop as a wired router , i takes a bit of fiddling in network settings or a xover cable but there are several you tube vids that show you how, usually to connect an xbox or the like to the internet

 

once a 3g or 4g signal is esblished and you are on line , hook up the SS to the PC via the rj45 and theoretically , if you have followed the you tube vids and you are not using a VM stick , you shouldl get the SS talking to VF, then just leave it to do its thing for a while. 

 

If you get the correct red and two white lights try a call to voicemail probably poor quality but you proove connectivity, leave overnight and try on VM in the morning.

My suresignal stopped working. Flashing all the time - no signal. Checked connection with router - it is fine. I am with virgin - super Hub 2.

 

speed test results: 48.55 mbps, 3.11mbps

I have regsitered my ss v2 online, pluged this into my superhub. Online it shows as active but on the superhub it has the power light on and the network light flashing (after the telephone light shows briefly when switching on).

 

It never gets beyond this stage. I have tried to reset, de-registering and re-registering but no change.

 

Any suggestions?
