Suresignal - ethernet connection socket physically broken?

I've had suresignal since Feb 2011 with few issues. 2 days ago the signal dropped, and only the power light remained on, despite resetting. I went through the troubleshooting tips, but stopped fairly quicky; the ethernet connection light (green) was not on, nor was the ethernet orange light flashing. However, upon gently moving the ethernet cable both lights came on, then off again as I moved the cable. I have replaced the ethernet cable with a new one, and changed ports on the router, same occurs. It looks like the actual ethernet socket on the suresignal is faulty. I managed to prop the cable at such an angle that both ethernet lights came on, signal resumed shortly afterwards, then went dead as the cable moved after several hours.

Vodafone tech support, please can you advise?

Re: Suresignal - Ethernet connection socket physically broken?

Hi daf187

If it's a hardware fault such as faulty a Ethernet socket then the only option is repair. This can be arranged either in store or via a postal repair. You can find more information on repairs here - Repair a faulty handset or device.

If you'd like us to arrange a postal repair then please contact us directly. I've sent a private message with details of how to contact us directly. You can find your PM inbox here. If you can't access this link, please ensure that the box next to "Turn on private messages" is ticked on this page, and let us know if you need any further assistance.

Thanks
