Suresignal problem

No wish to start a new thread unnecessarily, but the symptoms I'm seeing are different to those discussed so far.

We had two or more powercuts recently and that's when my suresignal stopped working. I've tried resetting, and the full factory reset process, and rebooting my router as well, but always get the same results: both the power and the internet lights are flashing all the time. When I try the factory reset, all the lights do not come on: first the power light goes solid and then after c.30 secs the four lights flash in sequence and then it goes back to just the solid power light. If I proceed anyway with the reset, I then get the solid power light, followed after a while by the flashing internet light, after which both lights start flashing and I'm back where I started.

Help, please. There's no vodafone signal 8 miles west of Cambridge....(one of the science hubs of the world??)

Re: Suresignal problem

Hi

Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?

Thanks

Matt

Re: Suresignal problem

Hi Matt. I did check your other threads and, as I said in my posting, they don't match my symptoms exactly. It could be that the various descriptions are not fully accurate or complete. I do get a solid power light but only for a short while after a restart and then both the power light and internet light constantly flash. Nor does the reset process seem to behave the way your threads describe. That's why I started a new thread and asked for help.

Re: Suresignal problem

Hi Lee, Matt, etc. Just to say that my VSS came up sometime yesterday and now seems to be working normally. I have not touched it since I started posting to this forum. So whatever you did when I sent the serial number worked. It would be good to know whether you/we now understand exactly what went on after the powercuts so that it can be quickly put right if it happens again, Thanks again for your support - VSS is essential in this part of the world and having it down is a real problem, rnm.

Re: Suresignal problem

Hi rnm

I’d love to be able to take responsibility for this coming back up but it looks like the Sure Signal did it on its own :smileyhappy:

Let me know if you need anything else and we’ll be happy to help you further.

Thanks

Wayne
