We’ve created this thread to help with online problems that may occur when registering, or managing your Sure Signal.

You need an online account so you can register and manage your Sure Signal.

You’ll receive a text as part of the registration process, which contains a security code. This code is only valid for 20 minutes.

We understand that if you own a Sure Signal, you’ll most likely have little or no coverage, so we recommend you register online when you know you’ll be able to receive the text.

Business customers:

If you’re a business customer you can’t register this via My Account and you need to visit Sure Signal for business. Just click ‘Register a Sure Signal’ and enter your company name as the owner and your mobile number as the administrator - this way you can still make any changes needed.

Consumer customers:

You’ll receive a text or email to confirm that the Sure Signal is fully registered.

Please note that problems can occur, if the number that’s registered as the Owner of the Sure Signal, is different than the main number registered for online billing.

Check for planned maintenance:

Check the forum for any planned maintenance. If there is, this will be announced at the top of the Sure Signal forum.

Planned maintenance can involve changes to the registration system, so wait for this to complete and then retry.

Pending active:

If your online account shows the Sure Signal as ‘Pending Active’, then post in this thread and we’ll look into it further.

All other issues:

If you have any other problems with your Sure Signal registration or management, just post the details below. We’ll need the following:

  • Exact error message
  • Step by step instructions for how to recreate the issue
  • Operating system
  • Browser and browser version

Thanks,

Jenny

Hi,

I didn't receive an email on the 23rd August.

Can this be resent or can you post the steps on here and it may also help others who are having this issue?

Hi ST1985,

I've resent the email for you. Please check your junk email folder in case it's accidently been classed as spam.

Hope you can offer some advice.

I have no longer got the mobile number with which my original account was created and cannot access my suresignal control.

Is it possible to have it reset so that I can re-register. I have two at two different addresses. Version 2 S/N 40112450990 and a Version 3 S/N 40132335429.

Please help........

My Sure Signal has been working fine for a number of years but recently my wife's phone was stolen and the replacement has not worked with the Sure Signal device. When I view the "Manage Users" page, she and her number are not listed. When I try to add her, I get two error messages:

1. "Sorry. You can only add users who have a Vodafone mobile phone number. This will start with 07, and have 11 digits" - I've tried both the 07.. number and the 447.. number but neither work.

2. "You've already added this person to Sure Signal. If you'd like to add someone else, please choose another person" - Yes, I have added this person before but that person is no longer listed in the "Manage Users" pages, presumably because the number was blocked when the phone was stolen.

Any help or pointers, gratefully received.

Hi,

My Sure Signal is registered to my old Vodafone account which I don't have access to anymore.  How can I re-register it why current account as when I try it says it's already registered?

Thanks, Steve.

Hi,

I'm trying to add the mobile number from my daughter to my suresignal box.

I get to manage users

Add her on a blank line with first name, surname, telephone number, click the button

Get the confirmation screen where she is the only addition.

Click the confirm button....and a vapgatewaycontroller error appears.

Error invoking portlet "VAPGatewayController"

I'm using OSX Mavericks and it happens in both Safari and Chrome

Hi,

I've got an error on my Sure Signal where my phone is not currently getting a signal - I've recently moved from Contract to PAYG. The Sure Signal is visible when I log on to My Account - although it's status is showing as "Pending Active" - the troubleshooting guide advises to post in this forum if that is the case.

The details for my Sure Signal V1 are:-
