Unable to register, add or remove users

We’ve created this thread to help with online problems that may occur when registering, or managing your Sure Signal.

 

You need an online account so you can register and manage your Sure Signal.

 

You’ll receive a text as part of the registration process, which contains a security code. This code is only valid for 20 minutes.

 

We understand that if you own a Sure Signal, you’ll most likely have little or no coverage, so we recommend you register online when you know you’ll be able to receive the text.


Business customers:

If you’re a business customer you can’t register this via My Account and you need to visit Sure Signal for business. Just click ‘Register a Sure Signal’ and enter your company name as the owner and your mobile number as the administrator - this way you can still make any changes needed.


Consumer customers:

You’ll receive a text or email to confirm that the Sure Signal is fully registered.


Please note that problems can occur, if the number that’s registered as the Owner of the Sure Signal, is different than the main number registered for online billing.


Check for planned maintenance:

Check the forum for any planned maintenance. If there is, this will be announced at the top of the Sure Signal forum.

 

Planned maintenance can involve changes to the registration system, so wait for this to complete and then retry.


Pending active:

If your online account shows the Sure Signal as ‘Pending Active’, then post in this thread and we’ll look into it further.


All other issues:

If you have any other problems with your Sure Signal registration or management, just post the details below. We’ll need the following:

 

  • Exact error message
  • Step by step instructions for how to recreate the issue
  • Operating system
  • Browser and browser version

Hello all

 

I am trying to add users to a clients sure signal without any luck.

Serial number 40123656080

 

every time I add any vodafone number and submit it states

I have raised a few tickets now and have only had one response to phone business support. Can I give a tech here the numbers to add? as I am at my wits end tbh.

Are you trying to register this for a business customer or a consumer account?

 

If it's for a business customer, you will be unable to register the Sure Signal via My Account. You must visit Sure Signal for Business and fill out our registration form there.

 

The Sure Signal will then be registered with the Company Name as the owner, and your mobile number as the Admin, so that you can make changes. This registration process should take no longer than 24 hours.

 

If this is a consumer account, is the main number in the My Account section listed as the owner - issues can arise if the number registered as the owner of the Sure Signal differs from the main number registered with the My Account profile.

I have added a new number to my Sure Signal which is on a Blackberry Curve 9320. I thought that activation would be almost instant, but it seems no. How long does it take?

It can take up to 24 hours for any changes to fully come into affect.

Yes, all well now and phone getting a full 5 bars. It would be helpful though, if this was menioned in the Sure Signal support pages.

I've been trying to add a new number to my Sure Signal. The number was transferred from Orange to Vodafone last year. When I add it, the text message arrives but the phone isn't picking up a 3G signal. No problem with the other phone already connected. Can you help me please?

Mine took nearly 24 hours to work after I added the number. How long ago did you add yours?

It's the third time I've removed then added the number over the last two months. I thought it was about time I asked for some help.

Is the phone that you are adding a 3G one? Sure Signal only works on 3G.
