Ok so here goes my second attempt, as no-one bothered to reply the first time! I am still unable to register online, my serial number is 40122452440, If you are aware that a problem exists (as other forum members indicate) then please let us know so that we dont have to keep wasting time checking everyday. I am happy to patiently wait for it to be corrected as long as i know when to expect it to be up and running.
I notice that there is a return policy of 7 days, pleased note that i consider this forum entry to be notice that there is a problem and although i will wait a while for it to be resolved, if it is not done soon i will return it and expect a full refund even if the 7 days have expired.

Same here. No response at all it seems. I cannot register the Sure Signal device due to the sever error. Please provide some sort of feedback to at least acknowledge the problem.

I am also having problems registeriing the sure signal. Keep getting the following message
Error invoking portlet "VAPGatewayController"
The source of this error is:
l: Internal Server Error: null; nested exception is: javax.servlet.ServletException.; nested exception is: com.bea.wsrp.faults.v1.OperationFailedExceptionImp l: null; nested exception is: javax.servlet.ServletException at com.bea.wsrp.FaultInstanceFactory.<clinit>(FaultIn stanceFactory.java:44) at com.bea.wsrp.proxy.ProxyBase.raiseFault(ProxyBase. java:563) at com.bea.wsrp.proxy.ProxyBase.invoke(ProxyBase.java :464)
followed by a load of other error messages.
What do I need to do to get registered???

You'll have to wait about 24 hours for them to acknowledge your message, and even then they don't appear to accept that there is a global problem with Sure Signal. I am still waiting after several days. If this isn't sorted out soon then I'm using my 7 day grace period and heading back to O2.
Incidentally, I just discovered Vodafone don't even run Visual Voicemail for iPhone which is a substantial inconvenience. Signal is worse than O2 where I live in Central London, and if Sure Signal can't make it better, then I'm just wasting everyone's time.

I too have just tried to set up my Sure Signal v2 to day and get the VAPGatewayController error message after the address confirmation screen
Can anyone please help

I have just purchased a sure signal box and can't get beyond the address part of the registration process. An error message comes up and I'm stuck! The customer services person was very nice but didn't seem to understand the problem.

Disillusioned - I can see that Lee has responded to your other post on this thread a little earlier.
mkefshr1964 and amywithers - I'm sending you each a PM so we can help with this.
kkqd1209 - Have you responded to DaveCD's PM? If you do, we can get the details we need to get this sorted. The difficulty lies with the online registration through My Account, not the Sure Signal itself, so we'll look to complete the registration at this end.

My box is now registered!!! I was using the 'Contact Us' link to make a formal complaint when the Live Chat option was offered. This operator at the other end took all my details (secure chat line) and registered the box.
I have asked that the issue be prominently posted and this route to the work-around posted more prominently.
Still a point of frustration to spend a not-inconsiderable amount of money a month and then need a further £50 box plus consuming up to 1 MB of my internet bandwidth just to use the Vodafone service. And then Vodafone cannot even give us the means to register the box - utter madness.

I assume you have a system problem - could you not put a flag on the registration page to let people know?
Please confirm how I go about registering my SureSignal box. Not too impressed with the 'technology' so far.
