I have been contacted by George, a moderator in this forum. I've responded to his email with all of the details that he requested but there's been nothing in reply. I have also been contacted by someone else at Vodafone who has told me that the company is now aware there is a problem with registering new users to a VSS, at least for some customers. It was supposed to have been fixed yesterday, Thursday 31st March but of course it wasn't. This is 2 weeks since I firts started trying to add users.

 

Am I disappointed? Yes

 

Am I frustrated? Yes

 

I've even had an email from Vodafone asking me to complete a customer satisfaction survey, one of the questions asks if I would recommend Vodafone. The answer is emphatically no.

 

Vodafone are too big to care about smaller customers now, we just don't register with them.

 

Take your business elsewhere.

I am yet to successfully add another user other than the one I set up the account with ...

 

Everytime I try the site just throws up the script error below; I've tried IE & Opera, tried 07 format and 44 same thing !!!

Hi pricew1970,

 

Is the number you're looking to add a vodafone number? This is the most common cause of the error that you're seeing,  as the Sure Signal only works with Vodafone numbers.

 

hartnetman - Are you still having issues or has this now been resolved? I want to make sure, as with anyone, that we get your issue sorted fully.

Again, the old line about "getting a text within 24 hours"

I am waiting and have wasted hours on the phone to customer servioces who have no clue at all

I have a replacement box (this is a new one) after my old one failed after 8 whole months!! the build quality seems even more ropey than before, but until it is actually registered and working i suppose I shoudl bide my time.

 

please can someone contact me about getting it working - its a complete joke

Well i received my second new signal box today hmm that's funny it looks like the serial number on this box is the same as the one on the last one! I have a funny feeling this isn't goner work and yes my spider sense was correct. Well done voda you've played a blinder! I wonder if i'll get charged delivery for another faulty box?

They are truly a hopeless organisation to get results from. Try and get out of your contract through lack of customer service and access to the services you're paying for is impossible too. Something must be done. And dint get me started on the tax avoidance. Lol

Did you manage to resolve your problem with the script error? I am trying to setup a SureSignal and I'm getting exactly the same error.

Hi folks

 

My SureSignal is registered and working happily but when I need to manage it I am only showing up as "user". It is entirely possible that the device is registered to another number; there are two number on the account (oops, three now, one of which I assume is the Wifi dongle I haven't yet got out the box) and it could be registered to a number which is not the primary numbe rof my account.

 

How can I get this sorted out so it is registered to the primary number on my account?

Anyone else hitting there head against the wall with this one ? ..................

Bought and payed for my unit on EBAY as have many.

8 mins on a 0845 number  for they lady in poor english to conirm the unit is de-registered 

Then to tell me :

 

they now say i cannot register my suresignal box without a proof of purchase from the previous owner. ARE they just there to be complete and utter  C%8^TS , unreal ,is my ebay payment via a visa debit card not enough to prove i have bought it and the fact that i have a pay monthly phone contract registered to me and payed by  direct debit not enough to be able to find me if the item was STOLEN .. jesus  give me strength 

My item was deregistered by the previous owner this has been confirmed to me on the phone direct with Vodafone

 

ITS BAD ENOUGH HAVING A PHONE with a service provider that doesnt have sufficent coverage in my area , (one of those things you discover after you have moved there). Then all they do is put up brick walls instead of trying to be accommodating .

 

I just want to be able to use my phone when at home  home is that to much to ask

My parents have just got a couple of Vodafone SIM cards to put in 2 old Nokia's which, when they brought them, were SIM free. The SIM cards work as my mum has taken one of them to her place of work with her. I have tried to add them to my Sure Signal box but it is not working. Can you help please?

However, I will need a little more information from you before I can assist further in this matter.

 

  • Is the issue with registering the numbers within “My Account”, or are they registered, and do not pick up a signal from the VSS (Vodafone Sure Signal) Unit?

 

  • What handsets you are using, and are they 3G? (If not they will not work with a VSS, as it only emits a 3G signal)

 

  • Do you have any other, working handset attached to the VSS Unit, and successfully registered?

 

If you can come back with the answers to these few questions, I’ll be better equipped to assist further in this matter.

vodafone support for this product is nothing short of a disgrace.  every time we phone with a query regarding a sure signal, it is pot luck as to whether you get anyone remotely useful.  I've had a sure signal that says pending active for the last 3 weeks, i've spoken to about 50 different people regarding it, phoned numerous times, emailed contacts, been promised call backs and other actions, none of which have materialised.

 

Complete waste of time, money and energy.
