Urgent Replacement Sure Signal delivery address filled out incorrectly - DPD cannot deliver

Hi,

My replacement Sure Signal - EFT135 [#9366723] - cannot be delivered.

DPD say that almost all the information has been missed off, but if they get a confirmation email from Voda, they can deliver tomorrow.

They need full name and delivery info before 6pm tonight.

I have no idea what went wrong, but PLEASE contact me ASAP as this has been going on for almost three weeks with no mobile signal when I am at home & I work from home frequently.

Thanks,

Myles

Re: Urgent Replacement Sure Signal delivery address filled out incorrectly - DPD cannot deliver

Hi Perdix,

Can I ask where this information has come from?

The reason that I ask is that when checking the reference online it shows that there wasn’t enough time to deliver the parcel today.

However, I am currently in the process of trying to ring them for you.

Re: Urgent Replacement Sure Signal delivery address filled out incorrectly - DPD cannot deliver

Hi James,

I used the tracking info from the SMS message sent to me.

http://www.dpd.co.uk/tracking/trackingSearch.do?search.parcelNumber=15501143821906*16256^C&search.searchType=4&search.javascriptValidated=2&search.searchScope=

When they didn't arrive at around the normal time, I phoned DPD and one of their representatives told me that there was insufficient info on the item to deliver it.

No, either they are pulling a fast one, or there was a printing error, because the Voda SMS to me had enough on it to deliver the package.

Is it me? Am I cursed?? :smileyhappy:

Thanks,

Myles

Re: Urgent Replacement Sure Signal delivery address filled out incorrectly - DPD cannot deliver

Hi Perdix,

I’ve just got off the phone from them and they said that they didn’t have the company name for some reason however the driver has run out of time when making the delivery today.

However I have asked them to add the company name onto the order and it will be back out for delivery tomorrow. :smileywink:

I'm sure its not you and everything will be fine with our help :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Urgent Replacement Sure Signal delivery address filled out incorrectly - DPD cannot deliver

The DPD website says:

03 Jul 2012      11:28      Thetford      We were unable to deliver your parcel, track your parcel here for regular updates
03 Jul 2012      09:59      Thetford      Your parcel is on the vehicle for delivery
03 Jul 2012      07:00      Thetford      Your parcel has arrived at the local depot
03 Jul 2012      01:43      Hub 3 - Birmingham      Your parcel has been received at our sortation hub

We normally see the van on the estate at between 11 and 12, so the driver knows where we are...

Re: Urgent Replacement Sure Signal delivery address filled out incorrectly - DPD cannot deliver

James,

It turns out that the package was put on the wrong van by DPD.

Why DPD customer services chose to be 'economical with the truth' about it to us both is a little irritating.

Delivery delays can happen, lack of truth never should.

One of your logistics colleagues might want to take this up with them on Voda's behalf.

I have a scan of the label showing clear address info and Gary (our very helpful, regular driver) knows exactly who and where we are.

Contact me on my registered email address if you want to take this up with DPD.

Thanks again,

Myles

Hi Perdix,

I'll get this fed back to the team we use in DPD for you to have this investigated. If we need to get a copy of the label scan you've taken as part of our escalation, we'll email you directly. I appreciate the heads up and I'm confident this won't happen again in future.

Cheers, Ben
