V3 Sure signal

Was so impressed by my V3 sure signal I persuaded my aunt and uncle to move to Vodafone from their network and get one. Well for no reason it will not connect to the internet. It has registered in the My Vodafone set up no problem and we have had the email and text to confirm but not a chance will it work. The power light is solid but the connecting light just flashes and flashes and then nothing. Left it for 48 hours then tried it on a different router but no go. So frustrated and not to mention hacked off! I am loathed to open ports etc as my V3 sure signal works both with me and at their house (in fact they like it so much they have kept it!!) Please advise/help as I am fed up having no mobile signal and a new sure signal that just winks at me intermittently!

Well the sure signal has sprung into life just a few minutes ago. I tried to reset the unit again earlier so whether it was that or something at Vodafone I dont know. Fingers crossed it keeps the connection!!
