Will the vss 2. & 3. Work with my iPhone 5s ???
Seems to work sometimes with the iPhone 4S
Given up with ringing and asking Vodafone for help
Plus the VSS 3 plug type keeps droping connection.
With the 5s (4G) work on the VSS 3 (3G )???

Hi Jatboy,

Does the 5s lose connection when the Sure Signal V3 does, or just randomly?

Also is it just losing connection to that Sure Signal or to both of then?

With regards to dropping signal so regularly, can you run a traceroute and speed text about that time and post the results? It may be something around then is slowing the connection so that it can only carry one connection.

Hi Dave

The 5s will drop any time only on the VSS 3,  i either have to switch the phone off and on or sometimesit will reconnects when i switch airplane mode on and off the VSS 2 seems to work all the time.

The drop out happens around 1700-1900 ish and only effects the VSS 3, again i have to switch the plug off and on and this normally works.

as i mentioned the unit does get hot, is this normal ?

am guessing the VSS 2 could be at fault, what do you think?

if i have to send the unit away will they give a loan unit ?

thanks in advance

Hi Jatboy,

If this is only happening with the version 3 and it is getting a lot hotter than the version 2 Sure Signal you have, it could point towards a faulty unit.

I’d get this sent for a warranty repair and we can then look at this again when it’s been checked.

Hi there Jatboy,

If the VSS is getting too hot I'd urge you to try a repair/replacement.

Vodafone repairs

Cheers,
