VSS 3 not working after power outage yesterday

Hi,

as mentioned in the title, my VSS 3 won't restart after a power outage of about an hour yesterday. Looking at similar threads on here, techs have pm-ed posters so I haven't found a solution. I have reset my router (BT homehub 4) and the VSS - no joy.

The Vss has the power light solid and light 1 'pulsing' (not flashing) white. It will do this for a while then then power light will flash, lights 1 and 3 will be solid orange. Then all lights will go off and the cycle repeats.

I have checked the cable and my router claims that the VSS is connected (I am assuming that the 'unknown' device e0: 41: 36: 16: 8e: bd 192.168.1.77 connected by ethernet is the VSS as all my other devices (a BT Humax tv box and an xbox) are identified)

I have not changed any router settings prior to the failure and have looked at the settings since: all uPnP is on, no firewall etc.

I use an imac to access my router.

The diagnostice settings your faq ask for are:

@penyrolewen

Please take a look at our statement here.

Thanks for that. Will keep an eye on it (I was anyway of course!) and let you know of any developments.

Thanks for your help,

Jon

Hi,

it came back online yesterday evening (Friday). Was anything done or did it just take a REALLY long time to sort itself out after the power cut?

Jon

@penyrolewen - Thanks for letting us know. Looks like it sorted itself out.
