VSS 3 not working - replacement request

I bought a Version 3 Sure Signal some weeks ago. From the start it has given me trouble, causing me to subscribe to the post at http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Version-3-VSS-Power-flashing-Internet-solid-oran... which covered the light sequence I was often receiving.

 

In recent days it has looked stable, the lights indicating all is well. However, I just noticed during a call that the 'In Use' light was not on. I reset the unit, and now all that is happening is that the power light is on and the Internet one is slowly flashing.

 

 

I am beginning to lose patience with this unit and would appreciate a replacement to see if it will improve things. How do I go about obtaining one?

Thanks for your post.

 

I can see that the Sure Signal did reconnect this morning and the light sequence you have mentioned does sound like it was reconfiguring itself.

 

How are things today?

It's OK at the moment. I am rather concerned though about its general reliability, and the number of others having problems with this V3 unit. A friend of mine has an earlier version which has worked flawlessly for years - that was what made me go for this.

The units are very stable once they're set up.

 

The problem we have is that there are so many different possibilities of internet providers, routers, IP addresses and security protocols, it can sometimes be difficult to iron out any problems with a specific connection.
