VSS V2 not configuring with vodafone. System/Phone lights flashing, Power light on steady

I too have same problem but with system and phone lights flashing. VSS has been working fine for years then I had an internal network issue with a powerline adaptor. After cycling that the network was up but VSS is still in this state. I have tried following:

1. Powercycle VSS

2. Reset VSS

3. Waited over 24hrs with the lights flashing

4. Checked that router ports 8 & 50 are open for UDP

5 Router is a Plusnet SAGEMCOM 2704N Fibre connect

6. The VSS is registered according to MyVodafone account. Sys it was registered on 26/4/2013

7. Serial number is 40121204511

8. Tracert 212.183.133.177 shows:

9. VSS has been assigned IP adress by router.

Have attached screenshot of router port forwarding screen, BUT nothing has changed since it had been working!!

Is there anything I need to do?? Getting frustrated with this now. Cheers

I can see the last time your Sure Signal connected was the 23 May.

Please note that Sure Signal devices are for domestic use and may not work within a business/corporate environment

Try connecting the Sure Signal in a different location.

Once you’ve gained a connection try it at the original location again.

If this doesn't work then your Sure Signal maybe faulty.

You can look into purchasing a new Sure Signal here.

Hello, in the meantime I have tried several attempts at resetting the vss using the procedures documented. When I press the reset button and hold for 30 secs the phone and system lights flash briefly and then go out. Then phone light comes on and gently fades away. Seems vss may be faulty. I also tried the factory reset with power off/on. VSS just sits there now flashing phone and system lights with power light on solid.

I have now decided to purchase a new VSS v3 from your store and I have now de-registered the old one. I have a question on the new one. I currently connect the V2 to my router via a Powerline adaptor with power passthru socket on front which has worked well for years. With the V3 do I just plug that into the powerline adaptor socket and connect the ethernet cable?

@mikebrunger

Sorry to hear the Sure Signal was faulty, Mike.

With the new Sure Signal, you simply need to register it online, and then plug it into the mains.
