Hi,
I can't get my new Sure Signal to work with my Netgear router. I've followed all the troubleshooting steps suggested - opened up the ports on the router, checked the windows firewall, set static IP address, etc etc, but still we get the two lights flashing for a while, then nothing.
Can someone advise what steps to take next?
Thanks
Richard

Hello Richard,
Firstly welcome to the forum! ![]()
Can you tell me what ports you have opened for the SureSignal?
Also have you tried using the DMZ feature under "WAN Configuration" on the router"? Can try using that on a Netgear.

Hi Jesse,
Thanks for the reply.
I've opened 8, 50, 123, 500, and 4500.
I haven't tried the DMZ feature - is this the one listed as 'Default DMZ Server' - what does that do, and what IP address would I set that to?
Thanks a lot
Sarah

Hello Sarah,
Can I get some clarifaction on the when you say you set a static I.P address, you set a static I.P for the SureSignal?
THE DMZ is a special feature that allows unrestriced traffic to a specific device on your home network. So you can add the I.P address of the SureSignal into that feild, and then click apply/save. Then reboot both boxes.

Hi Jesse,
Yes I set a static IP for the Sure Signal.
I've now also setup the DMZ option and rebooted everything but still no luck.
Thanks
Sarah
