VSS stopped working...

rosstheboss
4: Newbie

My Vss has been working perfectly for the last couple of years until yesterday.  My wife's phone was registered to the VSS as well as mine and she recently upgraded to a One S with the smaller sim card, the VSS wasn't picking it up, so I turned the router and VSS off and on again and the VSS stopped working at all! I just get the solid power light.  When I upgraded my phone (which also meant a smaller sim) teh VSS picked it up immediatley...

It also does this - Lights 1 and 2 are on solid, number 3 flashing, before turning off entirely - no lights at all!

serial number is 21228230351

Thanks in advance

Hi there rosstheboss,

Have you regained connection now?

I've just checked the VSS and it's showing me it connected to our network this morning at 03:22.

Cheers,

LeeH

Sorry for the delay, neither phones are connecting.

I've tried a hard reset and also deregistering/reregistering without it working either.

Hello???? It's still not working!!!

Hi rosstheboss,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Can you let me know the light sequence that you’re seeing now please?

Also what phone are you using?

If you can try your Sure Signal on another connection (with a different ISP) this will also help determine if there is a fault with your device.

Thanks,

Jenny

Right this minute the lights are number one on with number  two flashing although the light sequence is generally all over the place - it might be off one minute, then the first light will be on it's own, then one and two with four flashing then nothing, one with two flashing... you name it!

My phone is an HTC One X, my wife's is an HTC One S...

I will try to connect the VSS at work tomorrow, although it was working fine until my wife's phone was upgraded, it seemed to ignore my change of sim but spat the dummy when my wife's did!

Hi rosstheboss,

Thanks for getting back to me :Smiling:

It does sound like the sure signal may be faulty however the best way to check this for sure is to test this on another connection.

Let me know how you’ve got on with this.

Thanks

Jenny
