VSS v3 slow flashing Internet light. Power light on. No other lights

VSS has been working for 5 months.  Unit failed two days ago with lights as above.  (The flashing internet light eventually goes out).  The reset button does not have any effect: attempting a hard reset does nothing. There have been no power/internet/router/local network changes at all.
