VSS v3 slow flashing Internet light. Power light on. No other lights

Hi, I've just received my new VSS and since installing a couple of days ago cannot get it to connect to the internet.

 

My internet provider is Namesco and I'm using and Alcatel / Thompson Speedtouch ST585V6 router with firmware 7.4.3.2.

I've also reset the VSS quite a few times, reset the router, turned off the routers firewall (although it's back on now) and forwarded all the required ports.

 

The serial number for the VSS is 40132212289

The only option I could think may be worth trying is that there is an option somewhere in the device and network part of the router config, to 'assign my public ip address to this device'

 

If you could enable that against the suresignal, then reset the suresignal by holding down the reset button for 30 seconds, it may or may not help things.

 

Although 1mb download speed is around the cut-off point for it actually working, so if other devices are online and using some of the bandwidth, the suresignal may not have enough resources to make the connection back to vodafone.

I've checked your serial number and the Sure Signal has never made contact with our servers. 

 

Can you try it at a different location such as a friend or family members to see if it connects? We can then rule out any issue with the Sure Signal itself.
