VSS3 Can't connect after Vigor 2860 Firmware Update

jumpin_jon

Good Afternoon,

VSS3 S/N: 40134723812

VSS3 has worked fine for many months, since switching to a Vigor 2860 router (from the BT Infinity Business Hub that came with Infity when installed).

However, I recently upgraded the Vigor's firmware (to 3.7.8.2) and am back to the Red Light Flashing; Off, Orange, Orange combination of lights - the well-documented problem.

Where should I start looking for a solution?

Thanks,

Jon

Good news @jumpin_jon

I can see your Sure Signal connected to the servers this end just after 8pm last night.

Hi Ben,

Good news - thanks.

Is it worth mentioning again, I do not have any Port Forwards in place, and I am still rather confused about why you insist on having people forward ports from the internet to the VSS device within their LAN?  The VSS3 doesn't have any of the ports you list open, so forwarding external ports to this device is pointless.

What you seem to be trying to achieve is, to have people with strict *outbound* firewall policies configure their routers to allow the various ports to be allowed out through their routers.  That's not Port Forwarding.
