Vodafone Sure Signal v2 (steady power, flashing system lights)

Hi There,

 

I have a Vodafone Sure Signal v2 that seems to be stuck with a steady power light and flashing system light. The light has been flashing for over 2 hours and will not stop. The phone light is off. Could you please advise if I have a faulty device?

Hi James,

 

Been away this weekend so wasn't able to progress before today.

 

I'm not sure what you mean by a "community broadband"... Village Neworks provides a standard ISP service, I have a dedicated IP address but it's not shared. Communication is by line-of-sight radio but it's not WiFi.

But (in any case) I got downstairs today and took a look at the Sure Signal and it's working!  Proper lights and full bars on the phone!

I don't know why it hiccuped last week, but as it all seems fine today, I think we can consider my case as 'solved and closed'

As the Sure Signal is designed to work on a standard fixed line broadband, this could cause the odd hiccup now and then, but I’m glad your back up and running.

V2 - sn 40110540362 is 'power light on, system light flashing'

They are both connected via the same router.

Speedtest gives 4Mb down, 0.38Mb up

Hi - in the hope that this thread is still active and someone may be able to help ...

 

My Sure Signal 2 account was suspended in error 11 Jan. It was re-registered on 15 Jan. Since then I have had steady power light, flashing system light and flashing phone light. We have tried re-booting (hold reset button, unplug power, release reset, plug power back in) which gave us the same array of steady and flashing lights. We then tried holding down reset, unplugging power for 30 seconds, plugging power back in, waiting and then letting go of reset button. That gave us the same light array, but it has since changed to steady power, flashing system light, phone light off.

 

We would really appreciate your help. I am unable to use the house phone, so a functioning Sure Signal is critical for me.

Wow! I don't know how that happened, but after more than a week, and within half an hour of my desperate post the sure signal is working and we are back in business. You can stand down.
