Hi There,
I have a Vodafone Sure Signal v2 that seems to be stuck with a steady power light and flashing system light. The light has been flashing for over 2 hours and will not stop. The phone light is off. Could you please advise if I have a faulty device?
Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi glrawson,
Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?
Thanks

Hi Andy,
I've already been there, but not of these listsed scenrio's match the issue Im having...
Click here if you are having problems registering your Sure Signal, or adding and removing users.
Click here if you only get a steady power light
Click here if you only get a flashing power light
Click here if the Power Light is on, the System Light is off and the Phone Light is Flashing
Click here if the Power and System Lights are on but you aren't picking up 3G signal
Click here if you get "Call Failed" when trying to make an outbound call.
Click here if you experience poor audio quality while making or receiving calls over your Sure Signa...
The problem I'm having is that the POWER LIGHT IS ON, and the SYSTEM LIGHT IS FLASHING for more than 2 hours? I've tried setting this up before but never got it working, but I'm now looking for a new pesonal phone If I can get this working for my business phone I will be taking out a vodafone contract for my personal phone. If I cant get this working, then I will have to remain with Orange which is the only reasonable signal I can get.

Hi glrawson
Thanks for your post here. I’m sorry to hear that you are having problems with this.
Can you open command prompt on any computer connected to the same router as the VSS. (Start / Run / CMD on XP e.g.)
In command prompt type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter
Then post the results here
Thanks
Wayne

My apologies also.
We are getting the exact same issue (Steady power light, flashing system light) and has been for 4 hours.
The "tracrt" test stops at the same point as the OP.

HI There,
I am now seeing a solid powerlight and both the system and phone lights are flashing together, but still no working sure signal. This is the first time I have seen this and my Sure Signal has been on for well over 72 hours. The tracert is now showing...

Hi guys,
glrawson - That's great news!
Rob_Davies and gurnsy - the IP address you're seeing as the end point on the traceroute is not an issue - that's where we'd expect to see it stop.
The description sounds more like a configuration issue. Can you both post the serial numbers of your Sure Signal so we can take a look at this end for you?

Hi I have the same as above. The sure signal has been on for ages and it still won't settle down. Both yellow and green lights are on at the back, front power light is on but the system light is flashing away to itself and the phone light is off. The router I'm using is a Netgear DGN1000SP.

Hi dan3mitch,
Looking at your traceroute everything looks fine as it is reaching our server and all of the ping times are below 200ms.
When it comes to the configuration, it can take anywhere between 4 and 24 hours.
If you are still experiencing issues today, please can you first let us know your Sure Signal serial number so that we can check the registration for you.
@ metalcyber, Everything looks fine with your traceroute as well, please can you let us know how long this has been in this state and also your serial number so we can check the registration for you.
James
If you have any comments regarding how I have handled your query today, please complete our short feedback survey.

Thanks for coming back to us here. I’ve had a look at your Sure signal and it updated with our servers at 00:45 - 02/06/2012, can you confirm you are still having problems?
If you are can you go through this troubleshooting guide?
