I've had my ss for a few years now and most of the time it behaves its self, apart from as soon I upgraded two iPhone 3GS 's to two iPhone 4S.
It just won't connect to it, tried a reset but that didn't help?
Anyone got any ideas?

Hey all,
Ive recently taken out a new line with an Iphone4s just wondering how do I link it up with my sure signal box (that ive already had for about a year)? How do I delete my old number and add my new number to it?
All the best,
Neilo

Having been to Skegness which receives and has a 3G network the iPhone picked it up no problem (automatically as we no longer have the option to enable/disable 3G anymore!! For some reason :-( ) but then when I'm at home and normally get the 3G signal from the Sure Signal it doesn't pick it up!
I've de-registered the sure signal then re-registered.
I've turned on and off airplane mode (which was an idea from customer services..)
And finally tonight had a internet speed test through customer services to test connection, and was told to reset network settings... Did this but still no luck...
Please help us!
Thank you

I noticed when revieing a lot of phones in a 4 week period they all seemed to dislike the sure signal in the first few uses.
Current devices Sharp gx15, Nokia 6700s,E71, 6300, Two Samsung galaxy s2's and a Huawei Ascend g300

Hi guys.
As we have a few instances of your iPhone 4S devices not working with your Vodafone Sure Signal, I'd like to look at the specific details of each occurrence. So I've sent an email requesting some further information from you all. If you can kindly complete and return these, it will help greatly in getting this issue investigated further.

I can cinfirm that Sure Signal does not work with the iPhone 4S. As there is no help forthcoming from Vodafone on this matter I am going to file a complaint as I was not warned before upgrading. Unless Vodafone wish to publicly comment on the issue on this forum?

Could we have a quick check of if it is both models of SS?
I have an old one which doesn't work with the 4S - anyone with a new one having problems too?

Hi, i've just upgraded to Iphone4s from an LG. same Vodafone number but new micro sim. I just get 'no service' message as the signal is non existent in my house. Worked fine on LG and the Iphone is useless to me unless it works on sure signal. Can this be resolved or not as if not i will need to cancel the contract and am presumably running out of time for that?! My number is already registered to the SS so can't see what else i should be doing? Thanks.

I have the old SS and it doesn't work with the 4S. Searching for carrier produces Vodafone UK but then fails to find anything to connect to. It's the exact same behaviour I was getting this morning from the Vodafone network before I had the new phone's sim activated. That works fine now. It's the SS that doesn't work with the 4S. I note that no-one from Vodafone is willing to commit to resolving or even looking into this issue.

Hi guys,
Following me posting that mine didn't work (only half hour ago), i have done the following things and it now works. The first bit may be irrelevant but i will mention it anyway in case it isn't, as i'd read it from another post hence i tried it.
I'm on iphone 4s and new SS.
I switched phone onto airplane mode for 2mins and then changed it back. made no difference. I then de-registered my ss through my account online. I then restarted my SS after turning my phone off. Once the SS had restarted i re-registered it online and added my partners number to it (as the default is my number so already on it). I switched on her phone and her's worked. I then switched mine back on and it worked!
Hope it stays that way?! I think it was the re-registering that has done it but no expert as just got lucky i think!

Thanks for that but it didn't work for me. Impossible to contact Vodafone on the phone, ironic.

Solved my problem.
New iPhone 4s and newish SureSignal.
Had the same issue as all of you on this forum. Mine now works. This is what I did:
Turned power off on SS. Turned it back on. Waited and waited for the lights to come on. Had just the top light on, so thought I'd buggered it up somehow.
Turned off the router (BT HomeHub 3 in my case) AND the SS at the wall. Waited 30 secs. Switched them back on. Same... only the top light on on the SS... so pressed the wee reset button above the ethernet cable. Again waited for what must have been about 10 mins. Whilst waiting I was reading this forum.
Then lights 1,2 & 4 came on and the 4s and the SS are working well. 5 bars of 3G signal on the iPhone.
God knows what I did, but it has worked. Think it might just be a bit of patience waiting for the lights to come on.
Good Luck.
