Vodafone Sure Signal

Don't want to brag but I can confirm that at least some 4S DO work with the SS.

Myself and my wife both got our 4S last Fri and they have been working fine on the SS although there was a slioght problem when we ported our old numbers across.....all sorted via reregistering the SS.

Maybe this problem is linked to upgrades only as we were both first time Vodafone customers and a brand new SS? So maybe not a 4S problem persay but more a problem with upgrading to a 4S with Vodafone

Hi Trev,

Upgraded to the iphone 4S today (from a nokia) and like many other here are not getting any signal anymore, other phones using the same suresignal are fine. My serial number is : 21230035269

Appreciate if you could let me know when there is a fix available.

I had similar problems and tried the deregister trick and reboots a few days ago with no luck. I rebooted my SS again about an hour ago and after it reconencted I now have a signal. Could be just taking a few days for the changes to go through due to the number upgrades. Working again which is great even though my 4S of conneceted from home when the 3GS couldn't.

Update,
Ok since around Sunday my phone has connected to vss most of the time, a few times my 4S was just showing searching! I unplugged the vss and my signal came back a little onto the standard network. My wife's phone seems to be fine.

Check my original post but the only differance I can see is that the vss registered with my number and I'm admin.

The fact that AGAIN the vss has a unreliable connection I may need to switch it off soon

Why aren't Vodafone saying anything about this issue? Can we please have an update on why our 4S phones don't work with VSS?

I have been having problems not only with VSS but with 3G connectivity in general with my iPhone4S. Vodafone even gave me a new phone as my connectivity was so bad. I have friends who have the same phone with O2 and are having no problems at all. Vodafone have been great but i'm going to cancel my contract and move to O2. If i'm going to fork out for an iPhone i want to have 3G connectivity all of the time.

Hi Guys,

We were made aware of this issue and it was caused by the level of SIM changes being processed at the time however, this should now be resolved for you and your iPhone 4S should not connect.

However, if you are still having the issue we will need to force a re sync on the Sure Signal.

So we can do this please can you let me know the serial numbers of the Sure Signal if you are still having issues.

I am having the same problem on my I Phone 4 and I Phone 4s

I contacted vodafone and they are doing a firmware update on the sure Signal box say that this could take up to 7 hours we will see if this fixes the problem

What on earth have Vodafone done? Whatever it is, it's stopped my VSS from connecting now. Is this progress? The first light just blinks when for the last year it's connected without any problem. Can someone please sort this issue with the 4S?

There's still nothing. Not only have Vodafone trashed my upgrade, they've now stopped my VSS working. Should I just goes straight to complaints?

Hi guys.

Mitch111uk / ayiphone / jppatrick – I’ve just forced a re-sync of your devices. You now need to do a factory reset:

• Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
• Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
• Once all lights display release the reset button.
• The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

Let me know if you’ve still got issues 24 hours after resetting your VSS.

If anyone else has this issue please let me know your VSS serial number and I’ll do the same for you.

Still a flashing power light. Checked the ports on the router and they're fine. This has worked fine for the last year until I upgraded to the 4S. First I couldn't connect to the VSS, now the VSS can't connect to Vodafone. So what can I do now?
