Having read through various comments and solutions to this problem, I put the 4S into AIRPLANE mode, then turned off the wireless router and the Sure Signal box (new type) for a couple of minutes. I waited for a couple of minutes and then turned them back on and waited until they were both working again. I used my wife's Nokia phone to tell me when all was working normally. I then turned the AIRPLANE mode off and the 4S established contact with the Sure Signal

You may recall we had a problem with our old SS box. You arranged for a new one to be sent to us which we've set up today. We deregistered the old box and registered the new one. The good news is that the SS is working fine with my blackberry torch, getting full 3G signal. However, my wife's brand new iphone4S won't connect to it. She's the registered user so no need to register her number with the SS box.
Followed all the threads above and tried on/off on airplane mode, rebooting the router and SS, resetting iphone4S networks etc etc but none of this has worked. Each time, the SS box works fine (with the BB torch) but nothing with the iphone 4S.
Can you help please? The SS is the Alcatel Lucent Model serial number 40113155929.

Many thanks for getting back to us.
To be honest with you it does look like and issue that is slowly getting resolved depending on the IMSI attached to the SIM being used in the phone.
At the moment the only thing that we can suggest is to remove and add the numbers after a couple of days and then let us know if this still doesn’t work so that we can re sync the units for you
For those who have posted the serial numbers, I have passed your details onto our support teams to get the re sync done.
If you have any feedback on how I have handled your query today, please complete our short feedback survey.

Like everybody else my phone no longer connects to ss. I had no problems with my 3GS.
I have the old style ss serial number 21196945022.

Not happy at all with this situation as I can't even try fixes mentioned previously in this thread.
What on earth is going on.
Please help before I feel the need to send my 4s back.

I've forced a re-sync of your VSS unit for you.
Can you now factory reset your VSS?
- Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
- Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
- Once all lights display release the reset button.
- The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.
scooterwales - I have found an issue with your account set up and also got an email to you with some further information. If you could kindly reply back to my email, I'll be back in touch to assist.

I have just upgraded my phone from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S and the new device does not seem to connect to my sure signal. My wifes phone, (which has not been upgraded still connects with no problem).
I have done the reset and deregister / register stuff but still no luck. Could you please do your magic....
The serial number is: 21224498069

My girlfriend and I have both upgraded to iOS5 on a iPhone 4 and an iPhone 4S. Neither of our phones connect automatically to sure signal. A restart of the phone and sure signal box does help - and they do then connect.
Can you update on the latest on this issue? My SS serial is 40112207101 if it needs a force re-sync.

If you've already removed/re-added the number then a resync will most likely resolve your issue. As soon as I've finished typing this post I'll do that for you, please allow a maximum of 24 hours for this to go through.
rupertcorbett, I'll perform a resync for you as well. If you haven't done so already, can you please remove/re-add the affected numbers please.

I have had ss re synced by the mods and have tried all of the above yet still no connection with ss box and my shiny new 4s.
I am now left with an un attractive ss ornament and a new phone I have to go to the top of the garden to use.
Please Mods can you help restore my sanity.

I'm having the same issues as the others here with my iPhone 4S not connecting to either of my Sure Signals at home. I've tried email support & that hasn't helped. Tried the SS reset procedure posted on the forum, and an iPhone reset & airplane mode 'fix'. None of that has worked.
Would appreciate if Vodafone Tech can resolve please.

What now - do I return the SS to the Voda shop for replacement ?
Tech Support - please help !

As you're seeing the same problem with two different Sure Signals, the issue is more likely to lie with the iPhone 4S, or possibly even the SIM card. The first thing I'd recommend you do is to replace the SIM, if the Sure Signals are having difficulty picking it up, then a new one would rectify this. You'll be able to pick up a new SIM free of charge from your Nearest Vodafone Store, alternatively customer services will be able to send one out if you call them.
Once you receive the new SIM then be sure to remove your number from the Sure Signal and then add it again if you still experience issues after two hours.
If that doesn't resolve your issue then I'd recommend arranging a repair for your iPhone.
