my sure signal has just gone off help plz

hi got up this morning and my sure signal box has just gone off been working perfect untill now can anyone help me plz my serial number is 40131559334

i have rebooted my router to default settings when i done it i went into the router settings and it says attached devices which i looked at and it is picking up my wireless and a cabled device which is the sure signal as i checked the mac code and is the same as the sure signal but when i go into the advanced settings then the upnp it is not reconising the sure signal so i think the ports are not open for the sure signal

so i rang sky and they said they could not open any ports for me

then said get in touch with vodafone as its there problem

now i sitting with a sure signal i can not use and a contrect fone which im paying monthly for and can not use

hope some one can help me plz

Download needs to be a minimum of 1Mbps. Your speeds are low, can you try a number of tests throughout the day? If you take a few throughout the day we can get an average.

 

For help on opening ports on your router, get in touch with the router manufacturer or visit

can i just say tht these tests a wireless through my laptop

speed test

download 7.27 mbps

upload    0.37 mbps

and the ping test is 55 ms  jitter 3 ms

Thanks for getting back to us with the results.

 

From what I can see the new speed tests are great and the traceroutes also look fine.

 

Did you manage to open the ports using port forwarding? You need the ports open that are listed here.

 

Also, are you able to try a different Ethernet cable to rule out a cable fault?

i tried a different ethernet cable and its just the same but i read a few threads on here and they say sky has changed all the settings i tried ringing sky but they will not entertain me they say its not a sky product so i think its down to opening the ports on the router but i think the sky routers are all locked

i read tht the routers could be flashed but dnt no if thts a good thing or not

and i am in the proceeds of getting bt internet

as i can only get sky connect because of the area we live

i will try and open ports on sky though and let you no what happens

I've re synced this for you, you'll need to factory reset the Sure Signal to complete the process.

 

VSS Factory Reset

* Hold the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30 seconds)
* Keeping the rest button held, remove and re-insert the power lead
* Once all the lights come on or flash, release the reset button
* The VSS should come online within the hour
