not able to call landline numbers via sure signal box

We've had our Sure Signal box for over 2 years and for most of that time it's been great, however ..... 2 days ago my iphone 4s stopped being able to call landline numbers. Facts as follows:
- I cannot call landline numbers whilst at home/via sure signal.
- I can call mobile numbers whilst at home/via sure signal.
- I can call landline number whilst not at home and out of sure signal range.
- My husband also has an iphone 4s and he is not having the same problem.
- I have reset the sure signal box.
- I've tried to de-register and re-register my mobile number from the Sure Signal dashboard on the Vodafone site but it won't let me, I assume because as I am the main registered user.
- I've called customer support who were very pleasant and escalated my problem twice to other people, but still didn't have a clue as to why it was happening??????
Please can someone tell me if they've had the same problem and if so how to put it right as I can't think of anything else to do.

Problem -
VF Suresignal has worked at home for about a year.
Since yesterday, outgoing calls to landline numbers fail immediately on dialling. Calls to mobile numbers work perfectly, as do incoming calls. The phone works perfectly away from home in areas where there is a signal, on phone and all other functions.
Nothing else has changed or been touched in any way, same router and ISP, SS and router untouched, all lights correct, SS reconnects normally in two or three minutes if switched off and on at the mains.
Please advise ASAP as this is a business contract which I rely on as working from home. (Please don't just refer me to the Troubleshooting thread....I've tried that, obviously!)

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with making outbound calls from my mobile to landline numbers when on my Sure Signal box.
I am able to receive calls and data and seem to be able to phone mobile phone numbers, however landline calls fail to connect. My phone shows a 3G signal, and I have tried rebooting my Sure Signal box and my mobile phone. I can make calls to landline when on a normal Vodafone signal (i.e. when not on my Sure Signal box). I have had my Sure Signal box for over a year and have not experienced this problem before.
My Sure Signal box has a serial number of 21197220540, there is also a number 253112320 at the top of the asset tag - I'm not sure which number you need as a reference.
Please can you investigate. Thanks, Richard

Hi daisysun and railwayman3
Thank you for your posts and a very warm welcome to the eForum.![]()
This is most strange but has been confirmed that one of my colleagues is also experiencing the same issue.
So we can raise this as a case for further investigation I have sent you each a Private Message to follow, once we have your response either myself or one of the team will be in touch as soon as we can.

Hi batesonvf,
I've shuffled your post over to this thread as it's reporting a specific issue matching yours, rather than a generic failure to call out.
As DaveCD mentioned, we'll need some details to get this investigated, so I'll pop you a PM to get your details.
You can find your PM inbox here. If you can't access this link, please ensure that the box next to "Turn on private messages" is ticked on this page, and let us know if you need any further assistance.

I have exactly the same problem, using an iPhone land line calls via Sure signal fail. This only started yesterday after a brief powercut. The 2 other users of the Sure Signal box are unaffected, it's just my phone. Mobiles, texts, emails etc are all fine it's just numbers starting with 01 that fail (immediately)
I have reported this to the Tech team and they were most helpful, but resetting the SureSignal database ie removing me and re-adding hasn't worked. I have rebooted all devices, SureSignal and router, problem still remains
Looking at this forum this seems to have cropped only in the last few days, if that's true it suggests somewhere centrally an upgrade or similar has introduced this bug (?)
Help please

Problem is currently with VF team following my separate PM to them as requested.
But just to update, my problem is unresolved so far this afternoon. I've further noticed that, when I dial a mobile, the second white light on the SS illuminates as normal while the call is connected. With a landline number the light does not come on at all, and the phone screen shows "Disconnected" ithe instant the call button is pressed. The issue dates from a couple of days ago, but, unlike glynthomas, there is no sign that there have been any mains power outages here.

I know theres another thread on this but didnt want to hijack someones thread.
I have a suresignal provided by my work and have started to have problems where when I call a landline the phone beeps and hangs up so cant call. I can do it fine if im outside my house or if I turn off sure signal box but as soon as I turn it on then all landline calls outgoing are blocked.
I can ring mobiles no problem and I can receive landline calls no problem.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to resolve this issue?
thanks
Colin

Also having problems with making calls out to landline numbers which appears to be connected to our Sure Signal box. This has affected my phone but no-one else in the family.
Have spoken to Technical Team who were unaware of any issues and said no-one else had reported similar problem. They were very helpful and reconnected me to the Sure Signal database but this has failed to resolve the issue.
Sure Signal serial number is 40120905209.
Help!

Unable to call landline numbers

Had a couple of instances lately where I have not been able to call a landline number from my S3. Mobiles work fine....its just landlines.
I use a SureSignal at home, so not sure if its something to do with that or not.
A couple of days ago I called Vodafone Help and they talked me through registering my SIM (or at least trying) on another Network, taking the battery out, and then when turning it back on and reregistering on the Vodafone Network. This solved the problem.
Happened again yesterday and I wondered if anyone else is seeing this behaviour on their phone?
Not wishing this to be a larger issue, but I hope it is and the software is going to get fixed. It will drive me crazy if this happens frequently!
Cheers

Hi All,
@Teamsnapper, if you take a look at the bottom half off the PM that was sent to you, you will see an alternative method of contacting us if the form doesn’t work.
@ Penny_Jane and JasonMiles, we are currently in the process of raising these cases to our support teams for investigation to see exactly what is causing the issues.
So we can get your details added to the investigation I have sent you a quick PM, please follow the instructions on the PM and one of the team will be able to get this sorted for you.
You can find your PM inbox here.
James
