sure signal v2 power light only

hi I have a problem with a V2 sure signal. working fine until I switched off while on holiday for a few days on my return the sure signal would not reboot! router is fine and i can access the internet i have change the cable between the router and sure signal. I have done the live chat thing after which i was told something at vodafones end had been reset and all would be fine after reboot and a six hour wait. not to my suprise i still cant use my mobile!

Your traceroute, speed tests and IP are all fine.

 

I can see there was a location change performed on 8 August which didn’t complete. This hasn’t updated and I suspect that this is the issue.

 

I’ve made the change to confirm it’s completed. Any changes to your Sure Signal need a resync as follows:

 

  •          Hold down the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30 seconds)
  •          Keeping the reset button held, remove and re-insert the power lead
  •          When all the lights come back on or flash, release the reset button
  •          The VSS should come online within the hour.

 

If this doesn’t work, you’ll need to completely de-register your Sure Signal for more than 24 hours.

 

You’ll then need to re-register the device as if it’s a new Sure Signal.

I have done as you asked and I still have a sure signal with a red light and I still can't use my mobile. Do you have any other ideas ?

To rule out a faulty Sure Signal, please try a new Ethernet cable and if possible at a different location to help establish a new connection.
