Hi @swissgnome,

Please contact your ISP and ensure the following ports are open.

  • 8 (TCP & UDP)
  • 50 (TCP & UDP)
  • 53  (TCP & UDP)
  • 67 (UDP)
  • 68 (UDP)
  • 123 (UDP)
  • 500 (UDP)
  • 1723 (TCP & UDP)
  • 4500 (UDP)
  • 33434 - 33445 (UDP)

IP addresses to be allowed on the router & firewall

  • 183.133.177-179
  • 183.133.181-182
  • 183.131.128-191

Once the above steps have been followed please perform a reset:

  • Unplug the Ethernet cable from the Sure Signal
  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button
  • Plug the cable back in
  • Allow around one hour for the Sure Signal to come back online.

Thanks,

Rodney

I have done everything you suggested but this waste of space product is still not working!!!!

Hi  @swissgnome,

Due to your device working with another Internet connection, this fault doesn't lie with your Sure Signal.

In this case you'll need to get in touch with your ISP to ensure there isn't any security settings blocking the connection.

For further support, please get in touch with us via Live help.

Thanks,

Rodney

I have had a suresignal v3 for about a year working with a BT business hub on fibre. Round about the same

time as BT assigned me a static IP address so I can get a VOIP phone it stopped working. I then got a

Draytek 2860 router hoping this may help but cannot get the SS to talk to my router. (I also have openreach modem)

I have tried all the portforwarding etc but this has made no difference. The lights are : Flashing red light / nothing / solid orange / solid orange. I tried the SS with a neighbours fibre and it worked fine so somehow there is still something wrong with the setup. Help please?

What really winds me up is the generic statement , which incidently we have had to find. as they have not text us to say its fixed,

The statement just says we have fixed it.....Not one indication of what it was or who it was that caused the problem just some weasel words about being sorry for the inconvenience.   What has come out of it is that 3 have the same system a home signal unit so it does mean we can change when our contract is up.
