Build 8107 for Windows Phone along with the f/w update from Nokia for the battery issues started rolling out globaly on 18th Jan to other MO's.  Any news as to when we can see this in the UK?

I am suffering from the undercharging battery at present.

There are a few threads explaining both on the Nokia forums and here that any windows phone update is generally a staggered release done by MS, as such the update will arrive when it arrives but it is due to hit the devices within the next 2 weeks according to Nokia, so it certainly shows that this could be a global release.

I know it can take 2 weeks due to load balancing but although I have seen reports of Vodaphone UK users doing the disconnect trick to force the f/w down, they haven't been reporting that 8107 was updated.  I was hoping we might get some sort of confirmation that Vodaphone are pushing this.

Its not Vodafone pushing the update out it is Microsoft, as long as Vodafone have said they are happy with the update (unless MS do not give them much choice) then it will be in the chop for the rest of us muggles around the world awaiting the update

As far as i am aware there is no way to 'force' the update officially, you can see what happens when you connect your phone to zune as it may let you update before the device notifies you of an update.

I just got the notification last night about the update (VF Lumia800)

Not updated yet will be doing this at the weekend, so it is certainly happening.

My Lumia is stating "update available" in the settings>phone update menu, but how the hell do I get it to update? I've signed up with Zune (which has a terrible interface, imo) and connected the device but no update comes. The device is running firmware 11214. The phone has appalling battery endurance - 3 hrs today, yet shows a battery capacity of 1500+ (?). Do I just have to wait for the update to be installed???

The update process is super easy and it shouldn't take that long to get your phone updated to the latest software. Check out the link below for a few steps to getting your phone updated to version 8107.

How strange - i find Zune 100times easier to use than iTunes but that may just be me.

As per the video that should work but it is as simple as connecting the device - launching Zune and going into the device screen and performing the update (make sure Zune is up to date also)
