Just got home to find my new phone waiting for me, only problem is my current phone HTC HD2 uses a standard size sim and despite the email I received today from vodafone telling me my phone is on its way and it would include a new microSIM there wasnt one with the phone, so now I have a nice shiny unuasable phone Would really appreciate some help here guys.

My friend bought a Micro Sim cutter to cut his sim to micro size to use.

Or you can go DIY - google for Micro SIM cutting guide, although I am sure it is not a Vodafone approved route!

Cutting up my current SIM isnt really an option at the moment, fault on my landline means my mobile is my only phone.

Am really disappointed in Vodafone at the moment, their telephone support guys are useless its almost as if they have a list of answers pre prepared and when one answer has been used they cross it off the list and give you the next one.

The email I received from Vodafone, it was not only sent the day after the first delivery attempt was made but 4 hours after the second succesful delivery attempt, about my delivery with the following quoted from it : -

Great news – your Nokia Lumia 800 is on its way and should be with you very soon. While you wait, here’s what you need to know about the MicroSIM that the Nokia Lumia 800 uses. If you’re already using a MicroSIM then you don’t need to worry.

What’s a MicroSIM?

A MicroSIM is smaller than a standard SIM – you’ll get one with your new Nokia Lumia 800.

Clearly states I get a MicroSIM with the phone, so a simple question Vodafone, where is it and what are you going to do to put this right???

Same here, new phone and no micro sim. I suggest you to email VF. I did it 2 days ago and just got a call from them to confirm my email and personal details and that they are on the case.

just got an email telling me that the micro sim will be delivered within 3-5 working days.

Emailed them right away still waiting for an answer, so it looks like Im going to have a new phone I cant use for week

Really shocking service this from vodafone, glad they werent selling COD MW3 on pre order, people would still be waiting for their copy now!!!

Hi Guys,

I’m sorry to see that you weren’t sent a micro SIM with your new handset.

Basically although this should have been sent with the phone you can also order one of these online to be sent to your home address or you can also pick one up from your local Vodafone store.
