ok getting used to the lumia now ive finally got sim card sorted

ive topped up with freedom freebie...so in theory i should have internet access.................nope !!!!!!!!

ok so all is fine when im at home and hooked up to wifi but when im out n about

and there isnt a wifi connection available surely it should connect to my freebie package????

am i missing something..a setting that needs to be altered

any help appreciated ;-)

It would most probably be incorrect priority settings.  Check out Nokia Lumia support from the following link.

If you search the forum, you would also be able to find many other helpful tips and advise from other Lumia users.

essentially the phone will automatically set the APN settings from the device, they may be set to the contract ones (the connection should work regardless if you have a freedom pack)

If by resetting the device the settings do not change then you may need to add a new APN:

Settings > Mobile Network > Add APN

Usual PAYG settings think it is PP.VODAFONE.CO.UK

Username: WAP
Password: WAP

Cant remember the proxy IP address

indeed it was the apn settings

when i looked in there was nowt listed

after entering the ppvodafone.co.uk

and then user and password web and web, all is now ok cheers ;-)
