im having a problem and its now been ongoing since i bought the fone 2 weeks ago.....vodafone sent me a new micro sim card
as my old sim card was 2 big for the fone. transferred my old number onto the new sim no problem...after 48 hrs the new sim card ceased to work..spoke to vodafone on the fone and i was told id probaly been sent an iphone micro sim????..new micro sim despatched and once fitted old number once again transferred over..this time it didnt work....spoke to vodafone on the fone
and after being passed from pillar to post 5 times by alot of incompetent people..i finally chatted to a decent technician who explained the problem would more than likely be an old number cannot be ported over more than once in every 3 months???is this info correct im not so sure....anyway he told me to take my fone and sim cards into my local vodafone store which i did today,,,,,some good help from the people in the shop and new sim fitted and all the necessary changes done in the shop ...they had my account details in the shop
and succesfully transferred my old number onto the new sim card....i was then told that the normal transfer would take place and my fone would be up and running within the hour.......no such luck im now back at home and after several attempts removing card/switching fone off etc its still saying my sim card is invalid......ive been with vodafone from day one..always had the same number and always run on nokias..........getting very close to throwing the towel in

I must admit that this is a strange one however, when you were in the store did they try your SIM in another phone or try another SIM in your phone?
If not I would try this first as it will help indicate if it is a SIM or a handset issues.
Please can you give this a go and post your results below, once done please can you then reply to my email with your details where we can contact you to discuss this further.

yes they proved in the shop the phone is good
if u put a new sim card in the phone it works fine
its the transfer of my old number thats causing the problem
one of the online tech team suggested that u cant move ur old
number more than once in any given time..ie a month/3 month period so
i personally think thats the problem..whats ur take on that????
im going into the shop now so will feed back on what they have to say
this mite be a good reference for other users who have the same problem.........................

he spoke to technical team and once another new sim card was fitted, he switched the network over to 02 then back onto vodafone and it seems to have righted itself......
the only draw back of this is my freebie pack has disappeared and ive no credit on my phone +..yes theres more ;-) i would have thought all my missing texts and calls would have come thru from the last two weeks that my fones been down........................

If you could let us know what the issue that you are experiencing is by posting, or if this is account specific reply to the email that has been sent to the address you registered with on here and we will be able to investigate further.
