My iPhone 5s recently broke so I'm considering replacing with a second hand iPhone 5. However on the ebay listing it stated it was only 3g - is this true? Am I able to get 4g on an iPhone 5 on Vodafone?

Hi @smallii

As per this thread here http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/iOS/4g-on-iPhone-5-handset/m-p/2371858/highlight/true#M64104

"Just a quick for anyone reading this post. 4G is now available from Vodafone on the iPhone 5"

Just some information on the iPhone 5 and Vodafone Network.

CDMA 800 / 1900 / 2100 - CDMA A1429

3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 - GSM A1428
CDMA2000 1xEV-DO - CDMA A1429

4G bands LTE band 4(1700/2100), 17(700) - GSM A1428
LTE 700 / 850 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 - CDMA A1429
LTE 850 / 1800 / 2100 - GSM A1429

Frequencies used on the Vodafone UK network.

Frequency Protocol Class
900 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE 2G
1800 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE. LTE[17][18] 2G/4G

2100 MHz UMTS/HSDPA/HSPA+/DC-HSPA+. LTE[18] 3G/4G

In the 4G auction, Vodafone secured 800MHz (band 20) and 2600MHz (band 7).
