Email not working on on mobile network but fine on WiFi

For some time now, maybe since the upgrade to 4G on my Vodafone account, my iPhone will not pick up email on one of my accounts when it's using the mobile network. However it's absolutely fine on any WiFi network.

 

Any ideas? It's currently connecting to an account over SSL. All the settings are correct AFAIK and other email from other accounts by different providers appear to connect fine by both 4G and WiFi. That includes GMail and iCloud.

 

I REALLY need to be able to email when away from WiFi! Has anyone else had similar problems?

4G in itself wouldn't have an effect on email.

 

Have you tried deleting the email and re-adding it?

 

What type of account is it? Exchange, IMAP or POP3?

Wholly embarrassing! I'm sure I've checked this a bunch ot times but it seems the Mail app had Mobile Data setting off. iCloud must be independent of this then as that was picking up just fine.
