3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?

@Zjenkins -  I’ve checked the coverage in your area (using the postcode in your profile) and can see that you should get 2G coverage at this address. However 3G and 4G are patchy and mostly available outdoors only.

Your local site (7367) currently looks to be performing with no problems.

Please try changing your phone’s settings to ‘2G only’ and you should find this helps.

If you’re having problems at a different location, please provide the full postcode so we can check this further, along with any errors seen or heard.

If you’re struggling to get coverage everywhere, this will most likely be a fault with your phone. Please take a look on our support pages for how to arrange a repair.
