Got an iphone 5s and tried to convert number using pac code. a week later still not working, and neither is the temp number, how can i fix this? Phoned about 10 times and they keep telling me that it will be 12/24/72 hrs and i need it fixed as i am going away in a few days. I am pay monthly and it just says no service. i just need a number to work.

Not happy.

Hi

Have you ported to the Vodafone from another Network ?

If so we've seen a few posts where people are experiencing a split port where only some services are working. Vodafone are working in this issue.

Vodafone will not be able to answer Account Specific questions here on the forum. Their is no account access / assistance Ref https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Forum-Update-Announcement/Forum-update-announcement/m-p/2403310

I would suggest asking for the iPhone to be unlocked if your the original owner / account holder via https://www.vodafone.co.uk/vodafone-uk/forms/unlock-code-request/ just incase this isn't sorted and you need to use a local SIM card if your leaving the UK in the interim. Not the best scenario but at least you have options.

yes i have from orange. if i get a new sim card will it then work?

Ok.

I think the issue isn't with the SIM card but with Vodafones systems completing the port.

Was the Vodafone SIM card posted to you. I assume when you phoned Vodafone they confirmed it was activated etc

I assume you get no service anywhere and not just in your local area. ie have you checked your masts via https://www.vodafone.co.uk/explore/network/uk-coverage-map/index.htm

Customer services on 191 or Live chat are the only departments that can help to resolve this if it is a split port although that normally means you get some services such as incoming calls but cannot make outgoing calls.

Who supplied the iPhone ?

yes it was along with the phone. They said it would take 24 hours, and i dont get servie anywhere. Vodafone supplied it

Ok.

Thanks for confirming who supplied the iPhone. Sometimes no service can mean it's been IMEI blocked but I don't think Vodafone will have done this. It's normally if the phone has been purchased by a person off auction sites etc.

On the iPhone hold down the Power & Home button together until  Logo shows then release both & the iPhone will reset. You'll lose no data at all doing this.

Other options are :

Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.
