Thanks for sharing @BandOfBrothers. What did you think of the keynote?

Hi @KD

No worries. :Smiling:

Most of the Chinese whispers and conspiracy theories were right !

I've always purchased the 16Gb base model as that has always suited my wants and needs.

Now the base model is 32gb and for the Jet Black model its 128Gb. This obviously raises the purchase price for me personally.

I was hoping for Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen.

Some stand out features and specs for me highlighted in the Apple Keynote.

New Jet Black colour option only available in 128gb and 256gb.

Home Button > Redesigned and customisable. Force sensitive and solid state. Increased usability.

iPhone 7 and 7 Plus > Water and dust resistance. IP67 industry standard.

Camera > Optical image stabilisation Six element lens. 12mp rear camera. New flash with 4 led's. Flicker sensor to compensate for artificial lighting. 7mp front facing camera.

iPhone 7 plus has two 12mp rear cameras to create a zoom feature on the iPhone.

Antenna lines more subtle.

Retina LCD Hd Display. 25% brighter display than the iPhone 6 models.

Stereo speakers.

EarPods > Lightening port connecting now. Adapter included in box so can continue to use own earphones. 3.5mm jack removed now in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Wireless > Apple in ear AirPods. New product. Connects to iPhone and Apple Watch. One step set up. Around £120.

Performance > a10 fusion chip in new iPhone 7 models. 40% faster than a9 chip in iPhone 6 models.

Four-Core CPU.

Battery standby and usage times improved.

No comment on any Ram bump specs yet.

Edit - Reported by a Geekbench test on the iPhone 7 Plus to be 3Gb of Ram.

New base model is 32gb followed by 128gb 256gb. 16gb options dropped.

Apple iPhone upgrade programme rolled out to uk.

iOS 10 lands September 13th.

From what I've seen iOS 10 looks different enough (in a good way) to keep me on a 6 Plus for another year.

That said, I'm seriously tempted by the 7 Plus camera. I think I'll wait for the rush to die down first and see how good the new one works for other people.

iOS 10 does look to have some good implementations.

I'll pop it on my iPad Air to begin with.

Can't upgrade my iPhone 6 Plus just yet. :Winking_smiley:

The camera does look impressive especially on the iPhone 7 Plus model although the bump in specs and features probably would be lost on me as I class myself as a very occasional snapper. :Smiling:
