If the iPhone is under 12 months old and you have an store local go there and they'll run a diagnostic on it for you. If they are busy they'll send you a text to return usually the same day or book an appointment via https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/
will determine if the battery is at fault.

In the interim try creating a back up and restoring.
