importing contacts from sim to iPhone 5c

hello all,

my iphone 4 is broken so my daughter gave me her iphone 5c. i cannot 'import contacts' from sim. not all contacts are appearing. Plus my photos i don't know where they are. 

i am in need of help please?

Hi,

The iPhone does not put contacts on the SIM card. 

Your info will either be in your gmail if you use it or in your iCloud backup. 

When setting up your new iPhone it should give you an option to set it up as a new device or from an iCloud backup. Use the backup option.
