payment method declined

I've just got an iPhone 6 in the last week and my sim is due to be transferred to my current number on Wednesday - in two days - and so i've tried to set up an account with my card attached to download new apps. I've tried 5 times to attach my debit card to it and all the numbers are correct but it won't accept it it keep saying: payment method declined please enter another payment method. How do i fix this?

If you are porting over a number, your account with Vodafone won't be active until your number is on the network.

When the same card is used too many times in succession, the card is sometimes rejected by the Bank or Apple as potential fraud and it may be worth making sure there is not a fraud marker on the card. 

Try using an alternative card or wait until your account is active with Vodafone.
