Hi

I can receive aol e mails and was sending  ok untill weekend  comes up with this error

"the recipeint --------------@aol .com " was rejected by server because it does not allow relaying.

i have checked all the settings smtp.aol.com on and  port 587 BUT STILL DOEBT WORK

i HAVE DELETED E MAIL ACOUNT AND PUT BACK ON NO GOOD

iT working fine for a year untill last week any ideas appreciated , i see googling many have had this error but the solutions dont seem to work

Not sure what is causing the issue  if it has been working for over a year, but as a workaround, you should be able to change the outgoing mail server to google's smtp server which should let the e-mails go from the phone.

I would do exactly what Grayman has suggested, Use google for you outgoing mail server.

Bluedave, did u get this to work in the end? Also have issues on my iPad 2 and also my Htc, both seemed to have accoured at the same time as u
