Hello, I ordered my phone online last week and I have not had any information about my phone.

I rang up and was told the phone was in stock before I ordered it online, I have since rang today and have been told there will be a wait of 2 weeks for stock.

Is the phone in stock?

I would just like to know what's happening.

Our Stock Updates section is updated twice daily and if there's been no posts on the day you check, then that's because there's been no change in the stock situation

In this section, we have stock updates for both the 16G and 32G variants, and there's an update regarding online and over the phone stock levels.

Unfortunately, as your order is with our V-Store team, we will not be able to track it any further.

The V-Store is a separate department from ourselves and we are unable to access their systems. To query any aspect of your online order or back order, you can call them direct on 08080 408 408 or, alternatively email them on v-store@vodafone.co.uk. This will give the fastest answer to your query.

As we can add no further information to this thread, we will now close it, however should you have any other handset related questions, please don't hesitate to start a new thread.

Hello, I've just experienced pretty much the same thing. I ordered my phone online last week after a chat with an upgrade advisor during which they confirmed the phone was in stock. I've phoned today to get an update and was told that my order is on back-order. The website is stating the the phone is in stock.

Is the phone in stock?

I would just like to know what's happening and when my order may get fulfilled.

I ordered late on sunday evening, at the time it said it was in stock on the website, but on back order when i ordered it, i went through with my order anyway. I called monday morning to sort out some price plan problems and was told by the web relations team that the iPhone 4 16GB is back ordered for 7-10 working days.

HOWEVER

I received a dispatch email at 9am Tuesday, so I'm assuming that Vodafone do have some stock in im not sure how it's all being allocated.

The downside is due to the Snow i haven't received my shiny new toy today despite it leaving the lincoln depot on the van this morning at 7am

I upgraded on saturday and the phone was in stock when i ordered. i rang up on Monday and was told vodafone were expecting a delivery on tuesday and that i should recieve a dispatch email by today. However no email recieved.

the website is showing the phone to be in stock.

I'd also like to have some information on when I can expect to recieve my phone, some news is better than none!

It doesnt seem fair that some people have been waiting weeks and yet others who order recieve theirs a day later! How is this a backlog system, seems to me its like pulling names out of a hat.

I have been waiting nearly 4 weeks now for a PAYG phone and do not now even get an email reply from the estore. All I want to know is how long do I have to wait? That cannot be too difficult surely.

Keeping customers informed is basic customer service and Vodafone is falling down badly here.

Frustratingly have just been offered the phone from a VF advisor on a new contract who assures me that they do have the phone in stock. Presumably VF are prioritising phones for new contracts over existing customers?

Has anyone had any joy with their backorder? I put my upgrade order in last Friday but no sign of a confirmation email yet. I've been in touch with the twitter team who advised they are expecting stock in any day now but I would just like some sort of ETA because my BB Bold is on its last legs

I can understand your frustration in your post, however I wouldnt be able to comment on this.

Hi Ben, thanks for getting back to us, but the warehouse is saying its clearly out of stock still! Why is it that everybody in vodafone I ask tells me something different!

I'm not understanding why some people only have to wait a couple of days and some are still waiting?

Really disappointed with VF over this.

I can appreciate the pressure that VF are under to maximise the new customer cohort but as a long time customer of VF would really expect some degree of customer service.

To be given inaccurate information at the time of ordering, to be provided with NO information about the status of my order, and then to be passed around to be given conflicting information whilst chasing information on the order myself is not how I expect to be treated as a customer.

I wouldn't have placed an order with VF at the time if I had known what the situation with stock was - I'm now seriously considering whether I want to remain a customer of VF or to move to another operator and give them a chance.

Can someone please tell me what the exact situation is, and what the window will be for delivery so that I can make my choice?

Everyone is nice and polite and helpful, but never answer the question you want the answer to. "When will my phone be arrive?"

I have a good idea, why don't Vodafone stop taking orders for phones they don't have and start fulfilling the orders that have already been made. If it is going to take a month to get the phones out, then I think it is only fair that customers are made aware of this when placing their order. I wasn't.

I left O2 after being messed about by them. The order for my wifes PAYG iPhone (ordered 10/11/10) is now on the edge of being cancelled and I will be looking at 'Three' when my contract is up.

It gets better. I phoned VF up to change my order (from 16 to 32Gb), and spoke to someone who processed my new order. She checked that they had stock, confirmed that they did and placed the order for me, with a delivery date of Monday. I received a text message confirming the delivery date and time, as well as a call at the house phone to reiterate the delivery details. Very slick.

I received a text message 6 minutes later telling me that my delivery has been delayed, and to expect a further confirmation of delivery date when my order is placed from my warehouse. 

I've wanted to stay a VF customer but that might be it. I'm going to see what O2/Orange's customer service is like.

You have our email adds and our phone numbers.

Anyway I've already called them, to be told I'm on back-order. They won't be pinned down ant particular day
