I have wasted my whole afternoon mucking about on ths and now ready for screaming.
My BF upgrade to Iphone 4S on Monday and gave me is iphone4.......... he was with vodafone and on a monthly contract and was able to sent and recieve pictures no problem
I went into locl store and got the mini sim card but guess what the red box wouldnt transfer my contacts or pics so spent last 2 nights doing my contacts by hand.
Everything on it seems okay until i went to send a picture message. i didnt change any of the setting BF had so didnt think i would have a problem.. but of course picture wouldnt send and just kept getting the red ! next to it. tried to recieve pic as well but of course didnt get it.
I then wasted 30mins trailing through web pages on this site looking for a link for restore MMS settings if thats what was needed... eventually did all the questions asked. told to click link but of course link that opened was nothing to do with what i wanted..
then i wasted another 40 mins on a live chat who after asking me for my usual information said my method of payemnt didnt match.... this all taking about 5 mins between my reply and them replying... only for me to repeat myself, what 5 mins to get told yes that payment method was correct... thats what i said in 1st place!! anyway after a very slow progress and few instructions to toally change my BF settings on phone, it still didnt work.. then she said she would ask tech team. came back with anotehr suggestion and told me to try it then when i replied to tell her it didnt, she had gone!
so last attempt is to call. dialed 191.. no option there just to speak to a operator... hung up and tried again and ended up getting throught o wrong dept just so they could transfer me. this operator went through it all again and toldme to restart phoen and it would work
guess what...... it aint........
as i said at start ive wasted all afernoon on this getting passed from pillar to post and BF has lost his rag with me as he isnt here and me texting him every 5 minds has done his head in so now he is angry with me.
last person said she would leave it on my notes but i just dont have the patience to ring them again.......
how difficult is it to send or recieve a MMS on iphone 4 or is there something stupid im not doing?
do i have to send with interent on? if so the wifi is constant on.
do i need to put the roaming on to send? but if so how you ever suppose to receive MMS as BF said not to leave it on?
can someone give me a basic step by step as to WHAT my setting should be at and what else i need to do to sent and recieve a MMS
all other phones you just sent the pic and its gets there. sometimes, yes i have had to get seting via text to be able to send them but nothing seems simple... iphone great untill ypu want to do something thats not basic!
